Think about it, what is the purpose of our government? To educate our kids, to care for those who are sick, to protect us from criminals and enemy nations, to keep our environment clean, to make new discoveries and technologies and to ensure basic rights and freedoms for citizens. No one would argue against that right, that's why we have governments?

So... why have money then? What does it achieve? All it does is get in the way of all those things. If we vote for our government, and it truly is democratic, then it should be okay for it to just make things be done. It shouldn't need to pay people - if we voted for something to happen, then it should happen. No questions asked, no money paid, the government should ask for it and the workers should just do it. In return they get all the services I mentioned earlier.

I don't see why we need money as this kind of "middle man". Can't we just ask for something to be done, and then it gets done? What's so hard about that? Kings and emperors used to do that right, back in ancient times - people didn't demand money from them, they did what they said. So... why do our democratic governments have to use money? Why can't they just get shit done? Money is just completely pointless, at least when it comes to governing.

In fact here is a simple proposal: the government should be allowed to overrule the economy. What is meant by that is this - if the government wants a space station built, or renewables to replace coal, or new weapons for the army, they don't have to pay anyone. All that is required is over 50% of people to vote for it, and then it HAS to be done. No money needed. I mean doesn't that make basic logical sense? Money is the number one reason that democracy doesn't work, because companies can refuse what the majority of ordinary people want.

Well the whole point of money is that it makes it easier for people to trade things for another. Killing corruption is not as easy as pulling away money. People will still be corrupt because they are being given something else. Land, food, housing. I don't think you can abolish those things. As for the government taking over the economy, there are many things that could go wrong. How would that company pay its workers? What if this project was extremely expensive? (Basically shooting your economy in the head there).
